The house is also located right on the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park, in fact one of the largest in The Netherlands. A large number of bike trails and outlined footpaths mean you can go for miles without knowing.
Activities can include horse riding, bird watching, fishing, sailing, and mountain biking.
A visit to Emmen which is home to a world famous zoo is worth looking at, and less than 30 minutes is a big shopping mall full of fashion, souvenir and other shops.

Fun parks, museums, galleries, historical centres all offer a great experience for the visitor, staying at the house gives you a lot of time including time to relax as well as to visit a lot of these places.

Diever has a lot of shops, restaurants, cafes, historical landmarks, open air theatre so for a few minutes walk you have the services local to you for your household needs.

Area

The main airports of Amsterdam Schiphol, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, are roughly 2 hours in distance from the house. Most major airlines operate from them and fly to most cities in Europe.
If you want to visit the beach, the nearest is a ferry journey and an hour and a half car journey to the Frisian Islands, the best beaches in Holland are here and offer a great day out for the family.
Diever itself is about a two hour car drive to the Europort in Rotterdam, and public transport links to other towns and villages is within walking distance from the house.
